Bios flash help

I flashed my bios and put a new updated bios on it and hit the power button. Windows closed but my screens are still on, fans still going..... 

 

Should i just hold the power button down and then restart it?

what bios did you update a motherboard , gpu?

Wait for a few minutes first. Just to make sure you don't brick your MOBO

Its the mobo, its a 870a g54 from msi.

Had the original release bios. I did it from within windows.

 

Ive never updated the bios on anything i have before. So its new to me.

maybe 10 minutes.

 

 I previously flashed my BIOS in windows on a gigabyte board and It took about 2 minutes. But this is a different motherboard, so it may take longer.

I saw it write and finish, so i waited a minute after and exited. Then hit the power button, ive been waiting for like 10 minutes i think. 

 

Im patient from rendering in c4d, i can wait lol. Will update in 10 or 20

You  3d Render? SO DO I lol, although I use blender.

 

Anyway,  It should prompt you to restart once it gathers all the files. It did right?

My girlfriend uses blender, i use a few other softwares. Upgrading to the 1950x threadripper and wx9100 for prorender in a month. 

 

No but i got 3 screens hooked up if that makes a difference. No signal to the screens.

Did you try a different port? maybe the one on your motherboard?

Yeah, was thinking of saving for a P5000, rendering takes too long on my current GPUs

Well i restarted it, this is what i got. Dont know what to do lol. Learning stuff every day still.

Your welcome, now if you've overclocked, your going  to have to do it again since pressing F2 restores all values. This step is necessary for flashing.

A slave drive older kinda of hard drive used for just storing data, no programs.

Yeah i still have my harddrives from before sata, Not plugged in now though. Completely new build with no old parts is coming soon though. Thanks again

its called slave and master in ide, boot 1 should be master , others should be slave
