Yup, this is the best way. If there is something wrong with Java it will also give you the info, too

Hello guys,

I want to open a .jar file but when I click it nothing happens. I am opening it with java. I don't know why doesn't it work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe .jar files aren't associated with Java correctly. You can run them from the command line with "java -jar <jarfile>" as well.

Yup, this is the best way. If there is something wrong with Java it will also give you the info, too
