This is a Lenovo Flex 10 laptop, one of the shittiest pieces of technology in my house. It lags like mad, gives my brother a lot of problems and all that - seemingly just like every other PC in the house. It was working fine in the afternoon, but by the time my bro reached home, it was displaying this. Clicking anything gets it back to the same state. I tried system restore from the options but it says there isn't a system restore point available or something. The other options are Command Prompt and something else, and I don't know how to code or use CMD ( although my family thinks I'm the equivalent of Elliot Alderson or something - though they don't know who that is).

There is no known system tampering that has been done by either my brother or me.

What the hell went wrong? What can I do to fix this? Is the data intact?

Thanks in advance!

I'd say Windows itself is fubared, but your data is likely mostly intact, maybe something here and there that isn't.

Might try flash drive with a windows image and do a reset, but be careful of doing a full wipe.

Wouldn't be bad idea if you can to drop that drive into another machine to pull any data off you can.

-Moved to Troubleshooting-

It sounds to me like your Windows install could be corrupted. Have you tried reinstalling Windows?

@Jamiec1130 @RedAV8R

oh thank God. Thanks a lot! I'll try doing that.

@Crunchy Dragon no I haven't. I will do that soon. Thank you!

@Jbonn386okay I'll do it thanks! But I don't think I saw that as an option. I tried everything out there, and I didn't see that :(
