Hi guys I need some advice.

I got

2 motherboards

1. Z170-a Asus

2. Z170 Stinger Evga

2 Cpus : i7 6700k and 6600k

2 sets of Ram DDR4

Corsair Cmd 2x8Gb @3000Mhz

HyperX 2x8Gb @2666Mhz

3 cases

1 Atx case, 1 itx case and 1 testbench

Soo here's the problems

I switch case. (Sold my itx case)

Move to testbench i use 2x8gb Hyperx Ram,6600k cpu and

Suddenly On my itx mb (Evga Stinger)

Failed to start. Even failed to reach bios.

Only On the fans and error codes cycling

2b,4c and 19 (darn it!)

So google try to help, i remove 1x8gb hyperX and it works (???)

Faulty Ram? (NO) coz i switch the ram the other Hyperx and it works.

Faulty Ram Slot? (NO) coz i swap to other slot and it works as well.

What happened?

I did set defult setting on bios. (Still the same.

I installed my Corsair 2x8Gb Ram and it's works without any problems. (Even with xmp profile on @3000Mhz)

I installed my HperX 2x8Gb in my Asus Z170-a same result. Only run with single Ram 1x8gb HyperX @2666Mhz.

What happened? Any suggestions guys?

I don't know how prominent of an issue it is anymore but technically you're suppose to check the QVL when buying RAM. It use to be a occasional issue that a type or brand of RAM wouldn't work in a particular board. It's also recorded if a particular type of RAM can run in single/dual/quad channel successfully. I'm going to guess that specific RAM can run in single channel but isn't compatible in dual.

Try installing the two sticks in the two slots furthest from the CPU socket. It would effectively be dual single channel. If it boots then that's most likely your issue. RAM compatibility. Sometimes BIOS updates can help this but I cannot say it WILL fix it.

I wonder if it's possible the pins under the RAM slots are touching something.
