They will just work at the slowest timings/speeds.

And some times voltage (1x DDR3L 1600 stick has all 3 of my DDR3 1333 sticks running at 1.35V, fully stable and at JDEC timings)

The only motherboard that have issues are either really bad to begin with, or very, very old. My Asus Z97 board for example won't work with the cheap 4GB DDR3 1600/1066 sticks that I bought for China while my Gigabyte H97 board will (albeit they show as 2GB sticks-but they work).

so you think the Asus Prime B350M-A  should work?

It should as both of my LGA1150 boards worked with 4 entirely different sticks of RAM at one point. They aren't as bad as they used to be back in 2006-2008.

Right. I was going to say, people used to really warn against mixing RAM sticks. That said, it usually works for me.

If you want good hardware recommendations, please tell us how you intend to use the hardware. There's rarely a single correct answer.
