Problems while trying to connect two monitors (one through igpu and one through dgpu)

ORYAN_SI

Specs:

MB: asus p77h8-m

GPU: asus strix 1070

CPU: i-5 3570k

ram: 16 gb ddr3

So here's my problem, I have two monitors, one VGA and one DVI. The DVI one is connected to the nvidia 1070 but there is no vga port on this card (obviousy) so I tried to connect the VGA one to my mobo.

I also enabled IGPU in bios but the second monitor still  isn't detacted by the pc. (the monitor works, I checked on a seprate device).

Any idea why?

i dont think enabling igpu in bios actually matters if you have dedicated gpu plugged in your motherboard

I think that most BIOS' will disable the onboard graphics when they detect a GPU on the PCI bus. Your best bet is to get a DisplayPort to DVI adapter. Not a DP to VGA because VGA will be gone in a few years.

Edit: THEN if you need to, convert the DVI to VGA
