An i7 and 1080 are way overkill for 1080p gaming. I would maybe look at an i5 8400 or Ryzen 5 1600 with a 6GB 1060.

At this point in time you'd be wasting your money. Especially if all you're doing is 1080p gaming.

Still a waste of money in my opinion, but if that's what you want to do and you can afford it then go for it. What games are you looking to play?

i don't know. the computer is not for me. it is for a relative of mine. i just wanted to get some clarification on compatibility before ordering the parts.
