Cable testing

So im planning on making my own power supply cables and sleeve them myself but i wanted to know if there is a way i can test them with maybe some kind of device because i do notwant my parts to be in any risk.

There are PSU testers to check your connections but I always suggest to probe it after sleeving using a multimeter to confirm.
