Compatability

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

PSU and motherboard are both garbage, CPU is a bad deal, RAM selection isnt ideal

PSU:

Tier 3 or above only

Motherboard: B350 chipset, not from MSI or Gigabyte (not the cheap ones anyway)

CPU: At this price point, get the Ryzen 5 1400 instead (though you should really get the 1600 since it's performance is good for a much longer time.

RAM: Ryzen is heavy on memory bandwidth, so get high frequency and even number of sticks for dual channel.

I would go as far as buying a 1060 3gb for the 6 core CPU tbh

Back again, I recently got into PC Gaming and I posted a topic about the dell inspiron 7577 vs an Alienware laptop and even though the Dell Inspiron was favored I went with the alienware becuase a model with a better screen was on sale. But now im trying to decide whether or not I should make my own desktop or buy one becuase of the GPU and RAM prices. Wondering if these were compatable.
