Bubbles forming in loop

OK thank you. The thing is that I got some properly major bubbles, but are you telling me that they are not a problem?

Looking at the picture,  they were bigger before. The thing is that there were no visible bubbles in the gpu cooler att all, but after a few days of not using it, it is completely full of them.

i think your liquid is just degassing. again nothing to worry about. if ypu want to speed the process then spin the pump fast and also put some heat into the system.

This will maximize the degassing speed

After 2 weeks of using my new computer, I left it for a few days. When I returned there was a considerable buildup of bubbles in the loop. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I also see some orangey material by my CPU cooler. Have I fucked up severely?

I do remember that there were still bubbles in my reservoir after bleeding the first time. They are no longer there. Could they perhaps have migrated?

I am currently bleeding the loop once again.

What does the "orangey" buildup look like? Did you mix materials when building the loop?

You see it in the picture. I did not mix materials other than nickel and copper, I modded the psu cover and there could be like a tiny risk that some of that snuck into my still exposed water blocks. I don't know what the psu cover is made out of.

Sorry, didn't notice it. Have you flushed with distilled water before adding anything else into the loop or were you using tap water?

No, I did not flush the loop with anything, but I have never added any parts.

From what I've learned watching hardline cooling videos over the years, you'd want to flush the loop with distilled water to check for leaks and whatnot. I'm not sure if this would have any effect, or if it was just done to christen the system but I wouldn't know enough to say so.

The orangey mess is oil from the O-ring. it gtadually seeps out with heated liquid normally. Nothibg you can do about it unless you disassemble and clean.

The air pockets are simply accumalted microbubbles not a major concern. to get it our you reqlly need to shake the life out of the system so up to you.

If you are seeing more and more bubbles make their way in to your loop then that could point to you having a small leak somewhere. So I could take a good hard look to make sure that isn't the case.

The bubbles being elsewhere after sitting could also be a loop configuration thing. Air is going to try to make its way to the highest point in your loop. If your res isn't that point then over time when the system isn't running it will slowly move higher in your loop.

Also, even on a new fresh build it is best to rinse your components out with distilled water, most people do this during the leak testing phase so that it is already done and you can just add your coolant of choice later.

I have also had experience where some coolants for example the xspc stuff can cause some sudsy type bubbles to form and from a type of foam in your res. This is one of the reasons I not longer use it :-D.

If you are really worried about the bubbles or more are showing up... then it is best to just take the time to drain, dissassemble, and clean your loop. Then fill it back up and put down some paper towels and check for leaks. If all is still dry after an hour or so.. then you should be ready to rock and roll.
