Good day gentlemen
( Grammatical mistakes due to google translate)

Recently, my workstation had a problem recognizing the two HP z27n screens and their resolution. Win7 has always started with 1080p instead of 2160p
Well, the Quadro (K2200) was a bit older and relatively weak, so ordered a new one.

Last week i installed a new PNY Quadro P5000. The problem with the resolution is gone.
But now the graphics driver crashes under load. Black screen, then the Message "Graphics driver has been restored"

No problem, open the case, see only a 500W power supply installed.
So i ordered and installed an 850W bequiet! 80+gold supply
Problem remains.

It can be reproduced in 2 ways:
1. 3D CAD open and working in the background (Office, Internet, Outlook, but always with video / pictures,
especially flashstuff)
2. Start AIDA64 GPU stress test (lasts 2sec)

FurMark runs flawlessly. 80°C maxtemp
The 1440p preset runs through with 4306points 72FPS

Heavenbenchmark runs with DirextX & OpenGL, no problem

I have tried various graphics drivers for the quadros.

388.16 | 391.03 | 391.33

Things already done:

Update BIOS

Update chipsetdrivers

Update all SSD-drivers

Win integritycheck ok

I had 2 bluescreens, maybe coincidence?

- System_service_exeption with nvlddmkm.sys

- Memory_Management

My system:

ASUS Z170-A mit Intel i7 6700k
32 GB DDR4-RAM 2400Mhz
Bootdrive Intel PCI-E SSD
Storagedrive Samsung 850 SSD
Nvidia PNY Quadro P5000
850W BeQuiet! Powersupply
Win 7 Prof 64bit

Before I exchange any parts with the home computer, I hope someone of you has an idea.

best regards

duli

Run DDU and fully remove all Nvidia drivers, reboot, then reinstall the latest drivers for your card. 500W was plenty of power by the way. A single GPU system with this configuration won't even pull 300W.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

I had problems with a piece of hardware years ago. I could not install drivers in a working way, because a different thing was installed before. I had to remove everything from the system that had to do with the old piece of hardware, before the drivers of the new thing worked. It was only a USB DVB-T stick, but maybe it is the Quadro you installed before.

Try it on a clean system. If it does not crash, there propably are files on the old OS interfering.

There is a slight possibility of:

- Card failure

- Bad contact (PCI-E AND Power connectors can fail)

- Temps ok?

- Random incompatibility (even with system RAM - I had this before!)

Try the card in another scenario to find out, if it is software related.
