The T3400 uses a proprietary BTX form factor motherboard. I have one and I tried putting in a better BTX Optiplex board from an O780, the standoff holes are in different places.

 

 

If you have the money for a new motherboard, I'd suggest maxing out your T3400 out unless it already is.

 

If that's the case then back up your data and sellit off, because you can build a much better PC from the profits. Soemthing like a first gen or second gen i7 system can be had for less than $500.

I just wanted to buy a pc because of case and put atx board in it but then I understand BTX is in other side of box

The newer Optiplex (like the 3010, 7010, etc) all have ATX form factor. The Optiplex 980, however, has a BTX form factor 1155 socket.
