Sorry if this forum is inappropriate for these kinds of stuff, and I apologize if I take up any of the moderators time with dealing with my first world problems.

I have this assignment and it is related to networking, but my teacher doesn't explain anything so we are usually on our own.

I have been stuck on this question for quite a while, and since the assignment is due tomorrow I thought I'd ask on a forum such as this one.

" Prepare a report explaining peer-peer networks and client-server networks.

In your report explain the common LAN architectures that are designed to work in networks.

You are required to explain the host to network access methods used. "

I have done the first part where I have to explain the peer-peer and client-server networks, but I am stuck on the rest, to the point where I don't even know what half of the question means. No idea what LAN architectures are, or what access methods means.

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to helping me solve this mistery that is networks. This isn't uni so the report doesn't have to be 10 pages, so I don't think they expect complicated long answers.

LAN Architecture is most likely referring to wireless, ethernet (fast, gigabit, etc), token-ring, etc.

Talk about how the host would access a network for wireless and ethernet and you should be good.

A client-server network I would imagine(my networking is a little rusty), is a network created so a server(such as a file server) can communicate with a client PC(the computer reading the files).
