So I spent a lot of time reading up on the forum at other builds, shopping and price checking nearly everywhere to get my build going. Right now, I'm saving up for 4K/1440p G-Sync Monitor when I get more money, but here's a list of all the parts.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rktCbX

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor  (Purchased For $347.89)
CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X52 Rev 2 73.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  (Purchased For $132.01)
Thermal Compound: Cooler Master - Thermal Fusion 400 Thermal Compound  (Purchased For $9.99)
Motherboard: Asus - Prime Z370-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (Purchased For $156.89)
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  (Purchased For $222.17)
Storage: Western Digital - Black PCIe 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  (Purchased For $107.99)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Video Card  (Purchased For $629.89)
Case: NZXT - S340 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  (Purchased For $79.99)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  (Purchased For $19.99)
Wireless Network Adapter: Asus - PCE-AC55BT B1 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter  (Purchased For $34.99)
Case Fan: NZXT - Aer RGB120 (2-pack with Hue+ Bundle) 61.4 CFM  120mm Fans  (Purchased For $79.99)
Monitor: LG - 29UM68-P 29.0" 2560x1080 60Hz Monitor  (Purchased For $239.95)
Total: $2061.74 USD

*The PC Part Picker list doesn't include the case fans or the thermal compound. Also I ordered all of my stuff from B&H because they're free of sales tax, and free 2 day shipping was a plus. Also if you're in the market for a new graphics card, B&H is selling the EVGA cards bundled with an EVGA 650-850W PSUs for a lot less, which is how I got my PSU for $20.

Let me know what you guys think, if there was something I should change or tips for building. I've never built in the NZXT S340 Elite, and this is my first Coffee Lake build as well, so this will be fun. I might be doing a Twitch stream as well so let me know if you guys want to check it out.

Isn't 256GB of storage quite low? (Assuming you're building a gaming PC) I would recommend getting something like a WD Blue/ Black 7200rpm drive for bulk storage in addition to the SSD.

Whoops, I forgot that I left that out. I've got a 2TB Barracuda that a friend of mine is sending me. It won't be in my initial build, but I'm gonna use it for bulk storage.

Whatever the hell nvidia is calling the new GPUs is releasing in not too long. It may be worth waiting unless you get a good deal on the 1070ti

I've been hearing those rumors too, but I needed something sooner. They may make them available for pre vorder, but if they don't ship until July or something, that's too long for me. I might pre order one, but I'm still unsure whether or not I'd be able to get my hands on one. Then I could potentially have to pay more for the existing card.
