We could hold our breath for a Mac Mini refresh since the last time Apple touched it was in late 2014.

But is Apple really going to give the Mac Mini enough care anymore?

So it could edit 1080p videos and Color grade it heavily.

Yea it will work fine, but a used macpro will be a good amount faster if you don't mind a bigger system.

Yep ive setup a few of them and done ssd swaps. You buy them cause you need macs, otherwise there expensive and old(you get the same 2014 model, 4 year old system for new prices)

Honestly an iMac is better than the current minis. You could also save a little for the Mac Pro. Both would out preform it.

Proxmox Server - i7 8700k @ 4.5Ghz - 32GB EVGA 3000 CL15 OC'd to 3200 - Asus Strix Z370-E Gaming - Oracle F80 800GB Enterprise SSD, LSI SAS running 3 4TB and 2 6TB (Both Raid Z0), Samsung 840Pro 120GB - Phanteks Enthoo Pro

Don’t wanna buy a used system. I need a new Mac mini and wanna know is fast or slow and how is fcpx. And budget is $500-850

It will edit fine, fcpx runs fine on my 2012 macbook air and thats a bit slower. For 1080p fcpx will be fine. Just get 8gb+ of ram and a ssd.

How? It's an all in one. If you have enough space for your monitor then you have enough space for an iMac. Other than that I do not recommend buying ANY mac at new pricing besides the 5K series and the iMac Pro just due to the limited used market and the overall price to performance being worth the price.

Os performance is fine, just make sure to get a ssd and 8gb+ of ram. It will be bad without a ssd.

The Mac Mini is by far the worst mac product in the product stack beside the MacBook Air and Mac Pro(At new price. Used is still bad but there really is nothing else that packs as much power at that size in the OEM market). The Mac Mini just isn't made to video edit. You need a powerful GPU (Preferably AMD when hackintoshing or upgrading a tower Mac Pro) to be really good at it. The Cores seem to help but not as much as a powerful graphics card. I stand by a last gen Mac Pro or even a hackintosh with a AMD graphics card.

I don’t think so, as reviews are good though. You may have misconceptions
