Maybe try get some cheaper parts which won't make as much difference such as a case like this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pd98TW/vivo-case-v00-atx-mini-tower-case-case-v00 and the best power supply for the money I think is the Corsair VS450 there like $50 ish and they have a 80 plus rating on them.

I recommend going for that one.

You can later add gpu when the prices go down. To be honest the 1050 is not really worth that much su just stick with this for now. The Asrock pro4 is a nice mb. Ryzen loves fast ram and the dual channel will improve performance a little more. Also .. you will love to have ssd in your system. It is like unbelievable difference between ssd and hdd.

whoops my bad

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fLpBbX

if that's too expensive just drop the SSD to a 120GB

Could maybe go for a cheaper second hand cpu and motherboard like AMD's 8000 series. But there isn't that much of an upgrade path :/

Oh man, if someone took away from me ssd it would proly feel like part of my life has been taken away. Ye it is a huge difference between ssd and hdd. You will never regret spending that money on ssd.

Well the mb bios can be updated but it does not have to be. So I would check with the seller if the bios is updated for raven ridge use(e.g. 2200g/2400g), just write them mail. It is very simple to update it but the problem is that you need another cpu for this socket and many people does not have it. So it is very simple but yet impossible for ordinary people.

Depends on your luck.

I would search for nearby PC shops and call them up and see if they can update the BIOS for you for free or even like $10 tops. That way you don't have to worry about doing it yourself and getting another chip in there just to do it.
