I'll be using a 27" samsung curved monitor @2560x1440. Would the decent 80+ bronze psu from corsair do?

Yeah but on the PSU i would not cheap out. Get the Straightpower 11 600W Modular from BeQuiet.... For 1440p the Bottlenecking Problem at 60HZ will be a lot less

I'm trying to save more money on my new rig by not spending more on parts with features I won't use a lot. Anyways, I'll be having a Ryzen 5 1600X(I don't really have a need for more cores beyond this point) and a 1080Ti .
To make this quick. Provided I won't use any features of a higher end X370 board (like more ports) would I be fine with just using a reputable b350 board?
Specs would be:
Ryzen 1600X
1080Ti

b350 board
16gb ddr4 3200
750Watt psu

*I probably won't do much work that drives the cpu to 100%
*Won't probably overclock

Would it be a good idea to use a b350 board over an x370?
Should I spend more money on a cpu cooler instead of stock (like noctua NH-U14S)?
Would a 1600X be overkill for my workload? (Cad, Gaming, Light & photo editing)

Anyways, thank you for taking time to answer my questions.

if your are not gona overclock at all, by that I mean not today or in 4-5 years then stay with a b350 board.

because the only really important feature that you are missing on a b350 board is overclocking.

yeah, I was mixing with A320. keep your b350 you'll be happy with it.

No, get the b350 and there is also no bottleneck and the noctua cooler is perfect

And yes you can overclock on a b350 board, read a little.

I suggest you to wait for the 2600x to get the highest clock possible. Also get really high quality ram with low timings. My 1080ti gets bottlenecked the fcking hell without OC at 4GHz and 3466 CL14 ram speeds at 1080p 165hz. But with the new chips that should be easier to achieve. Whats your resolution ur playing at? And your PSU is overkill AF get a decent 600W from BeQuiet or Corsair

What will you be doing with the PC? For high refresh rate 1080p, definitely consider Coffee.

Don't get the 1600X, just get the 1600 and overclock it.

If you get a decent cooler for the CPU, definitely get a decent X370 board. All of the B350 boards have crappy VRMs. The Prime Pro is usually among the cheapest good X370 boards.

Which PSU are you planning to get? 450-550W is plenty, just get a decent one.

I'll be using a 27" curved monitor. I don't see myself pushing the system hard enough to use 100% of the cpu, just some moderate cad, video & photo editing and gaming (witcher 3 would be the most demanding in my library atm). Basically I could get the 1600 and use the saved money to get an x370 board, I'd probably get something along the line of corsair or other reputable psu brands.

The monitor size says nothing about the resolution or refresh rate of it.

Any task that is affected by the performance of the CPU will use the CPU 100%.

Buying PSUs by brand makes no sense. Same as buying a GPU from MSI, and getting a 1030. Same brand, but not really comparable performance wise

:)
