I am building my first sytem with SSD's in Raid 10. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction regarding optimizing Raid settings and tweaking the drive settings. Currently set at: STRIPE:128k, GIGABYTE BOUNDRY: on, READ POLICY: read ahead, WRITE POICY: writeback....pretty much standard.

I'm not sure how to tweak SSDs in a RAID. Also, I usually install Windows7 and leave space for a Linux install, but I'm not sure yet that  I want to go with RAID 10 due to the loss of capaicty....but I want a shot at getting my data back if it fails. Thoughts?

O/S: Windows7/Ubuntu13.10

HARDWARE:

AMD FX8350 8core CPU

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 MB

Gigabyte GTX670-OC 4GB video card

G.skill DDR3-1866 RAM 4x8GB

4x Kingston Hyper-X 120GB SSDs (550mb/s read & 510mb/s write) RAID10 (O/S)

2x 2GB Western Digital black 2TB (storage)

Thanks in advance for any insight.
