Asus x370 Prime pro/ Realtek/ HyperX Cloud settings

Go to solution Solved by GrayTech,

I have the same motherboard. I'm not 100% sure but as far as I remember I had audio problems as well after installing the drivers. I think I just uninstalled them and everything worked fine. I had problems with AURA as well. The newest version didn't work so I had to install an older one.

I built a new PC in November 2017. I remember the sound sounding really great right out of the box. Then I updated my audio driver and the familiar Asus realtek settings panel has been installed. The audio has changed and sounded very dull, since then I've been trying to tweak my settings to get the perfect sound but I just can't get it. When I plug in my Headset to my phone, it just sounds way better.

I'm currently on the newest drivers from the asus website.

My question is, how can I tweak the settings to sound better. Is there an audio test file to which I can adjust the equalizer specifically? How should I proceed?
This is really frustrating. If you have any piece of advice, please share it.

Thank you. I did this and it seems to sound better now. it's very strange. I tried messing around with the equalizer for a long time but some parts either sounded too dull or the "S" sounds were ear piercing... Thanks again
