Gods of PC's please shine help upon me.

rasesh

Hello, I've recently encountered a problem in which I literally have no idea where the problem lies and need ya'll brains to help me out here.

Basically I'm getting "no signal" on my monitor.

I'm using onboard graphics from a Intel i7 6700k. No dedicated graphics.

Tests done:

- Have already changed monitor's to check.

- Have already changed monitor/pc cable (HDMI) to check.

- Have already cleared CMOS

- Have already took out the Ram and put back in

- Took out the main plug out at the back of the PC & held the power button for 30sec-1min as suggested on youtube video's regarding similar "no signal" issues

Results:

- When I hit the power on button the fans, hdd's & everything turns on

- The problem has remained the same despite all the tests above

Help:

- From what I have done so far and the results received, can this be the issue of the CPU? Motherboard? PSU?

Thanks!

It could be that a factory malfunction resulted in the Integrated Graphics not working on your i7. Did you buy it new or used?

Why Are We Still Here? Just to Suffer?

I bought the CPU used but it's been fine for nearly 6 months....

Maybe your monitor is dead? Borrow a known good one and test with that?

Just don't know how I can narrow down the problem.

I don't have another system to be able to check each part itself.

Any reason why you think it's not the CPU?

Oh okay, I see.

Is there any way I can check or is there any indication that there isn't anything wrong with my CPU?

Yes if you can, change either the mobo or the cpu, and see if it still occurs. It can be that the mobo video out is dead, which is more likely. More unlikely is that there is something with the cpu, but try different mobo first yes,.

Wow, even the testing costs money. Damn.

Thanks!

There is a orange light on the motherboard (Asus z270i rog strix) if that means anything or maybe the orange light is always there? No idea.

If everything is fine when trying with a dedicated gpu what does that mean? CPU issues?

no if all is good with a dedicated GPU  it can be bios setting not behaving properly around the iGPU or the iGPU itself bing defective. you might also have dead ports on the back of the motherboard but seeing as more than one of them has been tested i see that as unlikely. if it works try flashing BIOS to a new or same version that might fix issues

I see, but it's not the PSU or ram right?

On its own, randomly?

How do I even check that now without a dedicated GPU as I can't see the screen as there is no signal.
