Just bought a new flash drive and opened the package stuck it in my computer it chimes saying it's recognized I go into file explorer to access it but it goes into a loading loop. Try to open disc management and it gets stuck on loading disc configuration information. Tried it on another pc with the same result.

Is the drive broken or does anyone know what the issue could potentially be?

I was unsuccessful in finding the ability to do that.

Edit: Not entirely sure what just happened no matter what I tried windows didn't want to format it but I just so happened to think of trying my ancient ubuntu machine and sure enough it had no problems formated right away stuck back into both my windows pcs and it works like a charm. Never would have guessed and not sure why that mattered...
