Computer Freezes When Chrome is Opened.

A week ago, my computer started freezing when I opened Chrome. It wasn't every time, but a lot of the time. And if I could open it once, I could open it until I restarted my computer. If it freezes, it freezes hard, where I can't even open task manager, and if I start with task manager open. I can "close" it, but it does nothing. I tried installing Chrome again, but then it automatically opened and crashed my computer. It seems to always crash if I open it now. Really stuck here, I need Chrome for work and it's giving my computer aneurisms.

Have you tried clean installing windows?

Have you run a disk check and checked for virii and malware? It might also be worth testing your RAM to see if there is an issue there. Does this happen with any other browser? Try Brave as an alternative perhaps.

Sorry for the late reply, but I found the problem. It was something to do with the stupid automatic free trial of Malwarebytes. When I disabled the browser monitor, it all worked again.
