If it’s non gaming, then what is your planned workload? Surfing the web? If you are doing something like video editing then that will affect what you need. If it’s just for web surfing a ryzen 1600 is a bit much, and he could probably get the 2200g and just use integrated if it’s that small of a work load. There's a reason it says read this before posting: He said he preferred ryzen, and it makes the most sense to have a lower end for lower workload, but still have enough power to explore a bit.
