Hey,
I'm just trying to get some advice/planning on the best PC build I can make with 3k.
I'll be starting from scratch, with no peripherals or monitor.
The purpose of the build, is so I can focus more on producing/recording/mixing music.

Since i'll be moving from a Mac, but still wanting to use Mac software (Logic, Reason for music etc.) I'm hoping that some skilled individuals can instruct me in the best method possible. I may do a little gaming down the line, but mainly the computer will be for music production/web browsing.
Is a Hackintosh the best way to go for this?

1. Budget & Location

My current budget is $3000 (Australian Dollars).

2. Aim

Build a rig mainly for producing music,

3. Monitors

I'm thinking of just one monitor for the time being, I might add another in future. 1080p is fine.

4. Peripherals

I won't have any peripherals, as this is a new build. A studio soundboard, or keyboard with piano keys and/drum pad would be ideal. Along with speakers capable of previewing tracks at their exported sound quality. (so i'm not having to go back and mess around with master mixes, once I've realised bass or vocals are too low.)

5. Why are you upgrading?

I'd like to focus more on producing music

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
