My router that I currently have is giving too many issues, I didn't have any issues with it until I moved it a couple months ago. Since I have moved it back to the same conditions that I had, I have restored to factory defaults, re updated the firmware (thought it hasn't been updated since 2015). I still get issues with the dual band, 5GHz was failing me before and now 2.4GHz is failing randomly. My desktop is wired through the router and I would say it fine but I randomly get lag spikes while streaming videos. Gaming is mostly fine once I get connected through otherwise its a pain trying to get the client to connect to the server. When the 5GHz is working testing through my iPhone 6s Plus I get a down of 110 and a up of 11, this is normally when its not I cant even connect to Ookla to test. 2.4GHz usually gets me around half typically within the higher 40s lower 50s sown with the same 11 up but today I got a score of 17 down and 11 up. Since Tp-Link is no longer supporting my device I am looking around for new hardware. Any suggestions are welcome I do not plan to spend more than $130 USD.
