Hello!

I'm running 32gb (4x8gb) of G-Skill 2133mhz memory (Actual model number is F3-2133C11Q-32GZL)

Motherboard: Evga X79 Classified

Processor: i7 3960x @4.2ghz

I can't raise the speed over 1333mhz, or it doesn't boot.

I would normally assume this is a problem with the motherboard, but I've used multiple motherboards and they all have the same problem with G-Skill ram. (I used a lot of different kits, so it's not just my set)

Any overclocking wizard care to help out?

*Note, it actually doesn't boot, I'm forced to reset the BIOS. No output from the GPU or anything.

Try changes these settings + dram voltage to 1,6v

TWR - 30

TRFC - 145

TWTR- 10

TRRD - 10

TRTP - 10

TFAW - 30

TRC-75

Could also be that the Integrated memory controller can't push it that far, i have seen on a few other forums that some users with 3960x cpu's can't even get past 2400mhz

Try what Flamewalker suggested before this!!

You may need to raise your VCCSA & VTT to 1.1V Do not go any higher than that and don't leave it on auto if you ever go for high OCs. Try not to raise that voltage at all if you can.

Yeah you could go up to as far as 1.2V but that's really risky for some chips. It could burn your chip really fast...
