I found a computer in my local classified for 1000$ CAD. it only has no gpu but I was wondering if you guys think it would be worth it?

It's not terrible, but as @Theguywhobea pointed out you might be better off looking for a system that includes the GPU if those are still expensive in your area. If this was $750 or $800 it'd be a decent deal.

I don't know if you need 6 cores and 12 threads, but for that kind of money, you are close to building an new 8700k system without a GPU.

 

I agree with dizmo, that $750, it would be ok.

 

keep in mind that here in canada cpu prices are high af 8700k is 500$ before taxes
