to NovaNightmare_

you were right my frnd , tho my problem isnt solved yet,

i trusted my GPU temperatures blindly , msi afterburner shows 40 to 60 while playing games ,

i opened up my pc and felt how much does 40 - 60 temp feels like on the GPU, (feels so cool)

whenever my pc shuts down , i touch my GPU is so effin hot that i cnt even touch it anymore,

something goes off while i play games ,(after 5 - 20 min) that causes my GPU to run so hot, and it crashes to save hardware damage..............

there is a sudden spike jst b4 the shut down, i dont know wats causing that ,

i will borrow a G-card from my frnd ,

and get back to u with the results..

major update , ( FOR GRAPHICS CARD GTX 970 )

the problem isnt 100 percent solved yet

tho my pc crashed with a black screen , and the power button on the case keeps blinking , until a hard reset,

u can check a lot of forums on the internet , nothing seems to solve the problem,

gtx 970 keeps getting crashed,

my problem solved by this,

i put up a normal cabinet fan right above the GPU ,

since then no shut downs,

i keep the temp of my GPU under 60, ( it was going up to 65 b4 the fan )

and everything is fine, no shut downs,

if my GPU temp is under 60 weverything is fine,

i dunno y it was crashing before but still it was not going to 70 at any condition , and i read the limit is 91 C,

i dunno wat happend, maybe my psu cant deliver wen it reaches above 65,

MAY THIS HELPS YOU OR SOLVES YOUR PROBLEM,

FOR A MAJOR GAME I LOW GRAPHICS UNTIL 60 C ,, AND PLAY ,

You are putting too much credence in the PSU being related. You didn't take apart the PSU, you took apart the GPU.

The work around, which you are using, which I suggested previously is just holding the gpu from reaching the temp where it crashes your computer.

That will become more difficult when it becomes Summer.

Perhaps you did not apply enough thermal paste to the GPU when you did it, or perhaps you made a different mistake, like not covering a part that had thermal tape or something similar on it, and that is allowing the heat to spread touch it instead of the heatsink.

If you are going to stick with the fan work around, look for a fan that has a clip at its base, so you can clip it to the PC case.
