Not bad at all would this be able to run games like BF4?

Quite easily.

Sorry but I do not recommend that cpu for bf4. I had a 760k and a 7950 and I was getting 25-100fps(massive frame dips are not fun) on medium high settings in a 64man server. I say ditch the cooler and get an fx6300 and the cheapest am3+ motherboard you can find.

Edit: Vanilla Skyrim also had massive frame dips to below 25fps in some areas.

Did you overclock the 760K?

4.4ghz and also undervolted. I have a post about it that I should probably edit because I was happy at first and then I noticed the frame dips.

Hmm. I didn't think it would have a problem. The average 750K oc is 4.5 ghz. You only hit 4.4? Could it not go higher?

It was in a Fractal Node 304 with a not so good air cooler(cooler master geminii s524). It went up to 4.8ghz but playing bf4 maxed out the cpu and eventually would overheat in the case. The case was literally warm to the touch.

Lol wow. I guess the OP should go with a 6300 instead. I didn't think a 750K wouldn't be enough.

Yeah I heard that apparently they are just APUs that did not preform very well so AMD shutoff the GPU and just sold them as CPUs. Good for AMD but bad for the consumer because they did not even bother to adjust the voltage. My 760k undervolted to 1.25v and the default voltage was 1.4v. Huge brain fart by AMD.

Intel does the same thing.
