Recently I have been thinking about switching from my old membrane keyboard to a mechanical one. I use my keyboard basically for typing and working on doc files so I use a "menu" ("right mouse klick") key very often for correcting spelling mistakes in MS Word. But when I was browsing the web in order to find one keyboard I found that many models (especially those with RGB) has "FN" key in this place (to control RGB settings).

And now I’m wondering whether this "FN" key, if pressed without combination, has the same functionality or there is a need to use combo for that.

I politely ask members of community that are in use of this type of keyboard to check if my theory is right and clicking "FN" key bringes up a "right click" menu

what keyboard is that, from my experience the FN key doesnt do anything without a combination.

However on that keyboard you have what looks like another windows key next to it, you could remap that windows key to be your context menu key instead

From my experience, if there are multiple functions bound to the F keys (F1 F2 etc) then using the fn button allows you to switch between the F key and it’s alternate function.
