So to start, I have a i7 8700k and a 1080 superclock edition also a new computer build drivers up to date. CPU doesnt get above 40c while gaming. My problem is I get random fps drops while playing Battlefield always around 30-50 fps then i get the film strip to the right saying low fps? haha which doesnt make any sense concidering what i have! Also kind of freezes or stutters when the drop happens. Please any input or help will be greatly appreciated as i have exhausted all my options or my knowledge on the subject.

Is the game online? Perhaps you are losing data due to a bad connection? That can do it.

I'd try some other games, or single player offline games, see if you can repeat the problem, or if it's just that one game (which simply might be buggy)

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

What monitor are you using? Are you limiting the framerate via V-sync? Does this happen in any other games? What is your internet speed? What percent usage is the 1080? How hot is it?

My monitor is Benq XL2430T at 144hz refresh, V-sync off ofcourse haha. dont know exactly what my internet speed is but i pay around 100 bucks for comcast if that helps. Ive watched my usage in the past before and it really jumps around nothing really stable goes up and down.

Thats a 1080p monitor, there is no way you should be getting 30-50fps in battlefield 1 with a 1080, you should be looking at easily saturating that monitor a 140fps+

reinstall your graphics card drivers, make sure your igp is disabled (im not sure if the 8700k has an igp?), monitor your GPU temps to make sure its not thermal throttling (though i doubt it)
