So I recently changed my video card from and hd 7970 to a gtx 970. Through the amd control panel I could set a custom resolution and have the pc recognize my refresh rate overclock. Now with nvidia even though windows does recognize it,games give me an option to choose between 50 and 60 hz. While I was able to select my custom 76 hz refresh rate before.Any idea how to fix it ?

^ what a helpful answer.

You can do similar through the Nvidia control panel, you will need to set a custom resolution and the refresh rate accordingly and then you should be all g.

Well I did set it from the nvidia control panel to begin with . Still have the problem could not figure it out yet.

Try use CRU instead of Nvidia CP.
