Windows 10 Clean Install - Parted Magic?

Go to solution Solved by ProjectBox153,

You don't need to secure erase an SSD unless you're getting rid of it from my understanding. All you're doing is wearing the drive. Just do a quick format and install Windows. Done.

It has been a while since I have done a clean install, but in the past I have always used Parted Magic to really make sure my SSD was completely clean. I know Samsung has their own utility (I have an 850 EVO), but I am not familiar with it.

Is it best practice to secure erase an SSD when doing a clean install? If so, what is the best utility to do it. Any links to good guides/videos for the Windows 10 clean install process would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks - I figured it was overkill - I won't worry about it then.
