Recently I made a pretty big upgrade to my PC, and one of those upgrades was a 2TB Hybrid Hard Drive from Seagate. It's just been sitting in my PC, doing nothing, and I had a couple of concerns about transferring data over to my new drive, so here I am. The hard drive that I'm trying to clone is a 1TB Seagate Hard Drive, and the questions I have for this whole process: 1: What program should I be using? 2: If the hard drive is fairly full (transferring around 900GB), how long would it take? 3: When transferring data, does it truly transfer all data to the other? 4: After I finish cloning, I had planned as using the 2TB Hybrid as my main drive, and the 1 TB as my Secondary. When the process is complete and I see everything works, do I just go ahead and format the first drive? Also, how would I go about formatting?

I know some of these questions seem dumb, but I figured that it would be best to ask around and look dumb, rather than me messing up or being misinformed about something.

I recommend using Macrium Reflect Free. I use a paid version but the free version is more than good enough for most people.

As long as anyone is oppressed, no one will be safe and free.

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
