Do you need pins for things like buttons and leds(gpio).

no, my situation/need is kinda dumb. because the raspberry pi runs off USB power, i can make a small little desktop and take it everywhere while being powered off a battery pack.

How about a laptop? that seems perfect here. Built in battery screen and keyboard.

If it needs to be powered with a battery (and you aren't up for designing a battery + circuit yourself) you're out of luck -- unless you're willing to shell out around 10k or more for a design team that is...

HOWEVER, if you're OK with using power directly from the wall, you could build a system around something supplied by BCM Advanced Research or Axiomtek. They design and manufacture motherboards that may fit exactly what you're looking for!

One of the UPboards are probably the closest you will find to meet your requirements, but they are much more expensive than a Pi and use barrel plugs for power as they need more amps than USB can provide.

there are a couple x86/x64 single board computers, but the only one i know of that uses usb power is the lattepanda.

http://www.lattepanda.com/products/3.html

there is also the udoo's but they use a barrel jack power adapter. like the up boards @karn_evil mentioned above.

https://www.udoo.org/udoo-x86/

and your not going to be playing modern 3d games on them. you should be able to play older titles and less demanding indie games though. and i definitely recommend 4gb of memory, 2gb just isn't enough to run windows well.

also if your willing to consider other options there are windows based hdmi sticks that use usb power.

But laptops are powered by portable batteries anyway. Does it really matter what interface is being used to supply the power?
