O/S does matter for old GPU's ?

Hello. Checking in, has somebody had issues with office PC's with GMA 3000 running poorly on most games, even those like San Andreas?

If your current OS has detected and isntalled the drivers, then it won't make a difference. It would only help if the drivers didn't work on your PC and you were running with the MS Basic display driver.

 

Although, the speeds you're showing, makes me think it may be that.

 

Right click the start button and click Device Manager. Expand "Display Adapters", right click whatever is theren click properties. When the window opens, go to the Driver tab and screenshot it and post it here. If you can, switch to the "Details" tab, in the dropdown select "Hardware IDs" and then screenshot that too.

The GPU itself is just too slow to handle even those games.

Technically yes, because new OS can have worse support on old drivers. In reality, the GMA graphics is just too weak for software to help

You didn't do the second screenshot properly, but it doesn't matter because you have the driver anyway. I think you really are just going to have to suck up those terrible FPS. You can try and hunt for a new version of the driver from the intel site but that's a pretty weak chip, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Prolly the system that’s too weak for the os. Not necessarily the card.
