Hi,

I recently get a MSI GTX 1070 AERO graphics. The only thing, that is not as good is the fan type. I have my PC sitting right next to a wardrobe on my desk, so between the case and the wardrobe is 7 cm, which is not good for OCed blower style 1070. My question is: Can I buy something or make something to bounce the air, or any other way to change the direction of that exhausted air? It would help me a lot.

Thanks

Really won't help much. Put a aftermarket cooler on the card?

Yeah, I know, but I wanted something a bit cheaper xD

How bad are the temps?

in generall  how do move the air out and in? bottom to top like it is done on the silverstone raven?

changing it to a aftermarket or oem cooler (no blower style) on it could help. Or just add a fan outside of your case to move air away.

Like 98C when gaming, 104C when folding. I am sorry, but I quiete dont understand the second and third sentence. I plan to upgrade in futere to watercooling, but i dont want to bake my card before that xD

That's waaaaay too hot brotha. Only three reasons I can think of that would cause your GPU to get that hot. You either have the overclock too high, you have terrible airflow in your case, or the GPU's cooling system isn't working properly. What temp is the GPU at idle?

What is your current case-fan configuration? Tell us how many fans and their locations. Preferably, you want a couple fans in the front pulling cool air in and a fan('s) in the back pulling hot air out.

It's a fact that blower style GPU's inherently run hotter. They are best used in small form factor cases. On the brightside, the blower style is perfect for modding with a NZXT G12. I put the G12 on my ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo and now the temps never go above 50C.

Setup // CPU: 7700k@5.0Ghz w/ H100i v2 // MB: MSI Z270 Gaming M5 // HDD: 1x500GB 960EVO 1x500GB 850EVO 2x4TB 7,200 Barracudas // RAM: 16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance // GPU: ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo @ 2000MHz w/ NZXT G12 // PSU: 550W EVGA G2 // Case: Phanteks P400S TG

I know it is very hot xD

In the attachement is photo of my case.

Ive got 2 120mm on a 360 rad in front, two 140 at the top and another 120 on the back + gpu blower

As ive mentioned earlier I will watercool that card but definitely not in the upcoming 3 months

If you plan on watercooling, you'll still need airflow; but in the meantime:

Take that sexy computer you've got there and turn it sideways so you can't see inside of it and give it a good 8 inches or a foot away from that wall that currently its to the solid side panel you have. No, you won't be able to see it, which sucks because it's pretty, but you need to let that thing have some space out the rear where the hot air from your card is going...

In the end though, you need frames and not looks, and when you're throttling down like I'm sure you are (especially at how hot those temps are!) you would probably see more FPS by just moving your pc 90 degrees clockwise!

If the fans on the radiator are pulling air in, then that's part of your problem. Look at the bottom fan on the radiator. It's lined up perfectly with your GPU. That fan, if it is pulling air in, is pulling hot air from the radiator and pushing it directly at your GPU. Preferably, you want air coming in from the front of the case; however, if you have a radiator then you ALWAYS want the radiator blowing out of the case regardless of it's location. If your radiator fans are already pushing air out then ignore everything I just said above.

For now, I would use the top 140's to pull air in, and have the other 120mm fans blowing out. I would recommend putting the radiator on top but I have your case and already know it wont fit.

Adjust the fans curves so that the 140's pull more air in than the 120's push out. If you configure it right those 140's will pull in enough to create the pressure you want.

Setup // CPU: 7700k@5.0Ghz w/ H100i v2 // MB: MSI Z270 Gaming M5 // HDD: 1x500GB 960EVO 1x500GB 850EVO 2x4TB 7,200 Barracudas // RAM: 16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance // GPU: ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo @ 2000MHz w/ NZXT G12 // PSU: 550W EVGA G2 // Case: Phanteks P400S TG
