I was wondering what the best chemical is for cleaning a keyboard.

Windex is not a bad choice. I'm not sure what would be the best. Depends on which part of the keyboard you want to clean. Do you want to clean the keys or the board?

windex would do the job indeed, or if it is just dust related, an air can will do the trick

I use a combination of 70% isopropyl alcohol to get fingerprints and other similar things, and compressed air for dust.

As long as the keycaps arent UV coated as alcohol will remove the coating.
