Ultrawide vs curved

I have a budget of $300. Was looking into getting either an ultra wide or a curved monitor. I want opinions on why you chose one for the other and which you recommend? Size doesnt matter ?. I have nvidia card But i wont care if the monitor has freesynce or not (since gsync is expensive). 1080p gaming only. I dont edit videos or pics or anything. Im other on youtube or on a game (mostly fps)
