The 280x is quite better and is neck to neck with the 770.

in the future could i have 2 gpus??A r9280x and a r9 290x??

Dual 280x would destroy anything at 1080p for a few years. even without Mantle support

ohh just realized you ment could you crossfire a 280x,290x the answer to that is no

You can only crossfire gpus from the same family.

You can cf a 280x with another 280x, 7870 XT, 7950, or 7970 but not a 290x.

The R9 280X kicks the 760 in the cack when it comes to performance. Also, BF4 will have AMD Mantle support soon, further improving your performance.
