Last night all was fine but today I cannot get any signal through HDMI on my 22" Toshiba TV. It's definitely a TV problem as no input comes from my GTX 960, HP laptop or PS4 and the HDMI cable works fine with my primary monitor. Any suggestions? It's out of warranty.

Try selecting the source. Most TV's have hdmi 1, 2 or more.

There's only one and it's showing nothing

Does the TV turn on? Do you have a VGA input on your tv? Try using that and checking if it works.

I have a VGA through it just now and sufficed to say it looks awful. The rest of the TV works fine, just the HDMI not working

I thought as much. Guess I'll have to make do with VGA until I can get it fixed or replaced.

Repairing a flat screen TV is typically a bad idea. Might as well replace it entirely.

I have a few local repair places near me that are pretty good. Once our snow is gone I'll get some quotes

22" toshiba tv maybe old.

some old lcd tv are just not compatible with newer hdmi gadget.

i've got an old lcd tv that refuses input from my stb, nothing i can do about it.

other reason maybe the hdmi port is busted.

can you test with another system like laptops or any other hdmi player.

It's been compatible for 2 years and suddenly stopped yesterday. This isn't a compatibility issue. And I think it's just broken now. Doesn't work with my Desktop, Laptop or PS4

Sometimes TV settings can be pretty counter-intuitive. Carefully look at what's on the screen when you select between inputs. With my samsung TV I have to hit the input button, then hit tools on the remote, and then select edit name, and a whole bunch of options come up from VCR to HDMI, to PC, to game, DVI, etc.

Really stupid design.

You wouldn't expect edit name to have anything to do with input types, but whatever.

I hope that helps.

I've had this TV for 3 years, I know how to use it. It just doesn't work. Since it's also making an odd buzzing noise I've decided to replace it with a monitor like the one I have because the panel isn't amazing and it would cost too much to replace the main board which is what would need done.

I expect more than 3 years out of it though. Not impressed. I've ordered a new monitor because I don't use freeview and I have a PC, PS4 and PS2 for DVDs.

My dad had a lot of reward points through his credit card so we got a lot of amazon vouchers. Not too expensive as it happened. Picked up another AOC i2369vm for about £40 in the end and it's a great monitor
