144Hz without Display Port

Hey,

 

I just plugged in my new system and the first problem came along.

 

I have the BenQ XL2411 monitor, it has a DVI and a HDMI port. The HDMI port doesn't support 144Hz.

The graphics card (1080 Ti Founders) doesn't have a DVI port.

I tried a DisplayPort to DVI converted, but I only get 60Hz.

I tried the HDMI to DVI converter that came in the box with the graphics card but that gets me only 60Hz as well.

 

Any ideas?

well i guess you are out of luck with that combination, on the spec sheet for the monitor it clearly states you need Dual Link DVI to use the full 144hz
