All I can see is the gpu, you could upgrade it provided you can find a suitable replacement

You really don't want to get into upgrading laptops without a lot of experience, even if you find a compatible part installation tends to be hellish.

My Build:

Spoiler

CPU: i7 4770k GPU: GTX 780 Direct CUII Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero SSD: 840 EVO 250GB HDD: 2xSeagate 2 TB PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W

If you're responding to someone, make sure to quote them.

It's up to you if you want to go to the hassle and expense of trying to upgrade the machine. But, if I were you, I would sell it, and invest in something new. Note that it isn't just the GPU that's dated: the CPU is also.

Having looked into this; you can put a 680M in it; you may have to look into power consumption etc.

a 780M IS possible but requires vBios tinkering and a stronger power brick for the laptop, and maybe the TDP etc.

trouble with them is finding MXM cards for reasonable money nowadays as most seem to suggest eBay or perhaps local if you know people for parts.

My PC (Known as Theseus IV):

—CPU: R9 5950X (B2 Stepping)

—Ram: 32GB Vengeance Pro SL RGB

—Graphics: AMD RX 6900XT

—Motherboard: Asus ROG C8DH

—Storage: 990 Pro 2TB

—CPU Cooling: NZXT Z73 RGB 360

—Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow

—PSU: Corsair AX850
