Some of my family are farmers. As such they have poor internet.

We we got talking about it yesterday and this got me thinking.

I could setup a antenna on my cousins house in the town. Do a point to point to my aunts house.

Now here is were things get a little interesting. From my aunts house go two different directions

1 would go to my other cousins place. The other would go to the first cousins farm yard.

There is is a bit of security issues to consider. At the same time they are all family and have full access anyways when they visit each other.

Right now this is just a thought. Even with the fastest connection the town has it would be so slow that it isn’t worth it at the moment.  10mbps

Using a particular location as either the hub of a hub-and-spoke network, or as a relay station, is nothing new in Point to Point radio (which includes things other than wifi). If you do go this route I recommend not making the three houses one big “Layer 2” network because all the background broadcast traffic is going to eat up the wireless bandwidth. The normal setup is for each point-to-point to be a seperate subnet with static IPs, each house a seperate network with DHCP, and configure routing between all the networks.

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

This is more a thought at the moment. My/there isp is using there old dsl equipment in areas that have up graded to fiber and deploying them to smaller communities. Take in pair bonding and in theory could have a max of 50mbps

no idea when/if my families town will get the upgrade.
