Inital boot

Hello all

It is my first time building a pc, so there is a lot to new for me.

I just build my pc and if I power him on the fans start working and the led is on but the screen does not show the bios. I waited for 5 minutes now.

Is this normal? Do you think I forgot something?

No, this is not normal. And unfortunately unless your motherboard comes with some POST code display, the only other way to figure out what might be going on is to get a PC Speaker for the beep code.

 

Otherwise you could start with the following:

• Ensure all required cables are plugged in
• Ensure all components in slots are seated properly
• You could try a minimal build, which is just the CPU, one stick of RAM, and if your system doesn't have integrated graphics, a video card installed.

My first time doing a build I had that happen. You gotta troubleshoot and figure out what the problem is.

I checked all the cables and indeed there must have been the problem!
