If any of you are having sound issues on the Google Pixel phones, please send them a bug report so we can get this fixed FINALLY!  My wife an I are both using the Pixel, and both have the same issue.  Ringtones and Notification sounds will not work at random, with the volume on max and do not disturb disabled. A google search turned up thousands of other forum posts of people experiencing the same.  I contacted Google Customer Support, and they are aware of the issue, but do not have enough data or bug reports to help them solve it If we all send bug reports WHILE experiencing the issue, it will help them to determine what is causing it.  ****Pay close attention to step #8 below****  You have to wait until you have the issue, and then WHILE having the issue, take a bug report.  Then, contact Google customer support via Settings>Support>Contact us>Chat or Phone.  They will open up a case # and send you an email so you can reply with your bug report.  Thanks for the help.  Lets make the Pixel great again!  LOL

  1. On your device, go to Settings > About phone or About tablet.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, touch Build number seven times in quick succession. You’ll see a message saying you’re now in developer mode.
  3. Press Back to go back to the main Settings screen.
  4. Touch Developer options.
  5. At the top of the screen, make sure 'Developer options' is set to ON.
  6. Check the box next to USB debugging.
  7. Check the box next to Bug report shortcut.
  8. Reproduce the issue or error message on your device. It’s important that your phone or tablet logs at least one occurrence of the problem.
  9. Immediately after seeing the issue, press and hold the power button until the power menu appears.
  10. Select Take bug report, then select Report in the dialog that follows.
  11. After a significant delay -- up to two minutes -- your phone or tablet will vibrate and display a notification saying ‘Bug report captured’. Touch the notification to open Gmail with the report attached.
  12. Email the message to yourself so you can access it on your computer.
  13. On your computer, access your email and open the message you just sent to yourself.
  14. Download the bugreport.txt attachment.

Weird that Googles own software that is used by other reputable brands like Samsung has issues with their own phone whereas companies like OnePlus, Samsung, LG etc... have none of these type of problems.

Keep in mind companies like OnePlus barely change anything from stock
