Dji Mavic hdmi output idea

DarthSmartt

I have the dji Mavic pro which does not have an hdmi output on the controller. It uses a USB port that your phone connects to to display the image in the app. I wanted to be able to connect the drone controller and apples lightning to hdmi adapter at the same time. However, there are no adapters that will do this. I was thinking about changing the input cable to the hub into a lightning cable as well as changing apples hdmi adapter lightning end into a usb 2.0 male end to plug it into an output of the hub and using a double sided usb cable to connect the drone controller to the output of the usb hub as well. So the controller and lightning hdmi adapter will plug into the outputs of the usb hub and my iPhone will connect to the input. I think this will work since lightning is just a “glorified” usb 2.0 port, but I’m not quite sure. Will it work?

I posted this on a different sub forum but it was the wrong one.

Highly unlikely to get both done with an Apple device and one port. You'd likely be better off getting an Android tablet with a dedicated mini HDMI out.

You never know though, heck, I've been doing things people say couldn't (or rather shouldn't) work for years now.

I’m stoubern and I probobly will spend $100 no matter what anyone says. I agree it shouldn’t work, but it has a small chance. I’ll stay updated. I get parts in tomorrow.

I'm not an Apple guy, but hey, knowledge is knowledge, and I get that feeling. Good luck and may obscure specifications be ever in your favor.
