performs pretty much within margin of error with a 1300x, which is slightly better than the 1200. you get the iGPU too so that's a plus.

Doesn't it not work with the B350 Chipset though? Or am I misinformed? Because if I am misinformed, this is a darn good deal.

Something to do with a BIOS update?

the boards that already have the bios update will list it down on the motherboard box, if not you can request a 'boot kit' from AMD(you'll have to return it eventually).

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

misiformed. works on AM4 sockets, too.

Good to know. Is higher RAM Speed important to drive this if I'm not using the IGPU?

If you're deciding between the R3 1200 and the R3 1300X then the clear choice is the R3 1200. The extra money spent on the 1300X may result in 1 extra fps, but that is it. The small bump in clockspeed with the 1300X isn't worth the increase in price when you consider that another small bump in price can get you eight threads. You really don't need a 2200G if you'll be using a dedicated graphics cards.

Get the R3 1200.

FX 9590 5.0GHz | GA-990FXA-UD5 | G. Skill 16GB 2400MHz | RX 560 2GB | Crucial BX100 | EVGA 500W | Cosair Spec Omega Red
