So I fix phones for a living and today I was working on an iPhone 8 Plus, just a screen replacement, and in the process ripped the ribbon cable for the front camera. The guy is pissed and I can’t find the part anywhere. Just slightly freaking out.

Gotta be more careful with those cables. It takes me an hour to do a repair because of how careful I am with removing those cables.

I supposr the "Dr." Bit in you username should have dropped a hint, but I wasn't aware you fix iPhones yourself.

Are you an Authorized Service Provider? If not, maybe that's why you are having difficulty performing repairs. Its actually very easy as long as you are an Authorized Service Provider. So you should definitely apply for it, very easy to join;

Once you are certified, repairing iPhones will be a breeze. Definitely the most user serviceable phones out there. ;)

I used to work for apple, I knew about this but didn't really think I was big enough to do it. I'm not the owner but I'm the manager and repair tech, the only person that works there. Would I be able to get the certification and still run the shop?
