I've been researching and looking into hundreds of articles and hundreds of videos just to see what suits me the best. I'll be using my PC (which is an entire new build) for not only FPS gaming, but also for mapping (or level creation) for games such as Gmod and CSGO using their software. I'd love to also get into scripting and coding as well, hence why I'm actually getting a new PC.

With that in mind, I want to inform you that I have been trying to do this on a Lenovo craptop which obviously does not have a GPU with it, besides that it is unable to even withstand the things I do and enjoy to do in my spare time. I also have never built a PC before, for that I warn you for any kinds of stupid or incorrect information.

Anyhow, my build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jtmXsZ

The ultrawide with 144Hz will be enough for me to work with and multitask with certain programs, which is also why I chose for 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I've changed the prices for a bit due to this not being in euro's, thus it's more expensive. I'll not be shipping anything from the US to Europa due to me having to pay the same amount then as when I'd just buy a pre-build due to shipping.

This being said, on daily basis I mostly keep the game and level creating software running at the same time with mostly about 30 to 40 chrome tabs open. Everything needs to run fast and I do not want to be slowed down by anything. However, I'd do like some accesoires with it while keeping my budget below 2000 euro, like a mechanical keyboard and a 5.1 surround sound system. I know I'll go over budget with buying those two anyway, but is there anything I could save money with?

FYI:

-I'm not changing my CPU (comes with stock cooler).

-The UW uses FreeSync.

->200fps on games like CSGO is a must (makes me drool when thinking about it).

-The UW is 1080p.

-I'm not going to overclock anything.

In advance, thank you for your time and effort.

I suggest changing a few things in your part list. Firstly, you should buy an 8700k, it has much higher clocks and will perform better than the ryzen 7 1700. Your cpu will hold back your gpu in games. Secondly, you should buy a samsung 850 evo/pro, they are more reliable than crucial ssds. You should also note down that it is hard to find a rx 580 these days in stock, so keep that in mind when shopping. I can't confirm this but your gpu may be too long to fit in your case, I'm not sure though.

The 8700K is more expensive when you factor in the price of the cooler as well. He will be fine with a Ryzen cpu as the extra cores/threads should be useful.

The Crucial SSD's are reliable. No need to change to a more expensive Samsung.

You all act like you lose 50% of fps and the computer catches on fire, but it is simply not sure. Losing 5 fps out of 140 isnt that big of a deal. Yes it is a net loss, but you ain't gonna notice it.

Wrong ssd comparison. THe m500 is old, the mx500 is a new drive and faster. Also the 860 evo has replaced the 850 evo.

Doesn't the NZXT - H440 (Matte Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case have cooling issues with limited air flow?

Airflow is not really something to worry about with this case, seeing as it has 5 fans (3 infront, 1 in the back behind cpu and 1 above the cpu). It's the new edition, not the old. In general, airflow isn't really too much of a worry seeing as I won't marathon for 8 hours or anything like such.

MX500 seems to be a better choice, crucial is reliable for all I know, just was a bit expensive in the earlier days. I'll look further into that.

I didn't choose for the 8700K as its $75 more than the 1700 (and requires more energy) and with the 8700k does not come a cooler, whereas the 1700 does. So basically it saves me $125 or so, seeing as this thread is mainly about how I could save money.

If I'm not mistaken, 3200Mhz is preferred by the 1700. I thought I'd see Linus saying something in a video of him, but I couldn't find it again when looking for it.

Correct that is what I said? Your current list has ripjaw v
